Study Overview:

This study aimed to identify the internal and external security challenges affecting sports tourism and sports tourism facilities, the policies that must be followed to address these security challenges, the nature of marketing in sports tourism, and the difficulties facing sports tourism. The researcher employed a descriptive survey methodology.

Participants:

The study sample consisted of 166 participants selected randomly across multiple categories:

Ministry of Youth and Sports Leaders: 70 participants.

Security Leaders Working in the Securing of Sports Tourism Facilities: 42 participants.

Tourism Company Managers: 54 participants.

An additional pilot sample of 27 individuals (outside the main research sample) was used to calculate scientific coefficients. A questionnaire served as the primary data collection tool.

Key Findings:

Security Challenges: Internal and external security challenges affecting sports tourism and facilities include the proliferation and smuggling of weapons for political purposes, and multiple disturbances in neighboring countries.

Required Security Policies: Policies to counter these challenges include directing active political forces in society to mobilize public opinion against acts of sabotage and security threats affecting the country, and designing and implementing training programs for security personnel to enable them to perform their duties professionally and legally.

Sports Tourism Marketing: There is an absence of a comprehensive database for all aspects of sports tourism activities that can be utilized when planning to market these activities in Egypt.

Difficulties Facing Sports Tourism: There is a deficiency in the tools and assistive devices necessary to support and facilitate sports tourism.
