Thanks to the Respected Artist Hany Shaker, Head of the Musicians Syndicate, and No Condolences for Vulgarity
In recent period, we have been afflicted by a group of ignorant people who burst into society like a burst sewage pipe, degrading public taste and spreading obscenity and vulgarity into every home. The credit, of course, goes to social media and irresponsible media outlets seeking quick profit, even if it comes at the expense of destroying an entire generation and the future of the nation.
Foul words chanted by these ignorant individuals—who emerged from the sewers into every home and every means of transportation, after we used to teach the entire world the sophistication of our art—have become ubiquitous. Art, ladies and gentlemen, is a refined and sublime language. What we are witnessing and hearing at present has nothing to do with art; rather, it is a plot to destroy the youth of this nation and its future.
Therefore, I hope these individuals are put on trial on charges of ruining public taste and committing acts contrary to public morals. Have mercy on the future of this nation; have mercy on our youth. Thus, it is imperative that we express our utmost gratitude and appreciation to a respected artist who shouldered his responsibilities as the head of the Musicians Syndicate—even if it is a late step, for arriving late is better than not arriving at all.
I urge all state institutions to take a stance to save the future of our children from being lost at the hands of these scoundrels, the advocates of decadence and debauchery. Rescue us, may God rescue you, for art is a message and a refined language. Once again, thank you, Hany Shaker. This is the future of this nation; straighten up, may God have mercy on you.
