Study Overview:

This study aimed to develop the administrative performance of sports clubs in the United Arab Emirates through the approach of change management. It sought to examine the philosophy and system of administrative performance in sports clubs, assess the extent of familiarity among club officials with the philosophy and methods of change management, and identify the requirements for developing administrative performance in sports clubs in light of change management. The researchers employed a descriptive survey methodology.

Participants:

The study sample was intentionally selected and consisted of 249 individuals working across prominent clubs:

Al-Ahli Sports Club (Dubai)

Al-Jazira Sports Club (Abu Dhabi)

Al-Sharjah Sports Club (Sharjah)

Al-Shaab Sports Club (Sharjah)

An additional pilot sample of 35 individuals (outside the main research sample) was used to calculate scientific coefficients. A questionnaire served as the primary data collection tool.

Key Findings:

Club management lacks sufficient focus on training employees based on actual needs and scientific, objective foundations.

Reliance on outdated administrative methods prevents innovation and change.

There is a lack of participation between management and employees in finding solutions to existing problems within the club.

Key Recommendations:

Formulate a strategic plan built on current and future needs and expectations, relying on modern methods in plan preparation and ensuring it is clearly communicated to employees so they can contribute to its implementation.

Adopt the inclusive approach (al-uslub al-ihtiwai) as an advanced change management method capable of elevating administrative work in UAE sports clubs.
