Overview

Multinational Corporations (MNCs) are considered among the most important sources of funding for both developing and developed nations alike. They have become a focal point of interest for economists, governments, and the general public. MNCs are characterized by the diversity and scale of their activities, as well as their ability to establish numerous branches in various countries around the world.

Recognizing the significance of MNCs, this research sheds light on the intellectual framework of various theories explaining the movement of international capital in the form of these corporations. It is essential to identify the trends of MNC involvement in the Egyptian sports sector, the key factors influencing this involvement, and its various effects on Egyptian sports. Furthermore, the study examines the most significant problems facing MNCs in the Egyptian sports sector, explores ways to create a suitable environment to attract them, and investigates how to optimize their usage to maximize benefits while minimizing potential losses. Finally, the research proposes a framework for policies aimed at attracting MNCs to invest in the Egyptian sports sector.

Study Structure

The study is divided into two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part.

The Theoretical Part: Analyzes the impact of MNCs on recipient countries by studying the theoretical approaches to analyzing MNCs within economic theory.

The Practical Part: Consists of a “field study” conducted on a sample of experts from the Ministry of State for Sports, as well as a survey of MNCs operating in Egypt. The study addresses two primary questions:

What are the factors that lead to attracting MNCs to the Egyptian sports sector?

What are the problems facing MNCs currently operating in the Egyptian sports sector?

Conclusion

Based on the findings, the researcher developed a proposed framework for policies to attract multinational corporations to invest in the Egyptian sports sector, aiming to enhance the economic and organizational landscape of sports in Egypt.
