Study Overview
This study aimed to identify the foundations of administrative creativity in sports organizations, examine current management practices regarding creativity, identify facilitators for creativity within these organizations, and propose a framework for developing sports organization management in the United Arab Emirates based on administrative creativity practices.
Methodology
The researchers employed a descriptive survey method, which is suited to the nature of this study. The sample was selected randomly from workers in sports organizations, totaling 261 participants, including:
Sports Clubs (200 participants): Al Ahli (Dubai), Al Shabab (Dubai), Al Jazira (Abu Dhabi), Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Dibba Al Fujairah, Ittihad Kalba, Al Khaleej (Khorfakkan), and Al Dhaid.
Sports Councils (30 participants): Dubai Sports Council, Sharjah Sports Council, and Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare (16 participants).
Leaders Preparation Center in Dubai (15 participants).
An additional pilot sample of 30 individuals (outside the main study) was used to validate the scientific instruments. The researchers utilized a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection.
Key Results
Foundations of Administrative Creativity: Organizational belonging, creative problem-solving, and teamwork.
Most Important Creativity Practices: Participatory decision-making, delegation of authority, time management, effective communication, emphasis on human relations, calculated risk-taking, encouraging modern/creative management methods, and providing material and moral incentives for creative individuals within the sports organization.
Key Recommendations
Implement the proposed framework developed by the study to elevate and advance the management of Emirati sports organizations.
Establish new criteria for selecting managers and promoting administrators in sports organizations, based on their competence, ability to innovate, and capacity to develop the organization, rather than relying solely on seniority or traditional performance reports.
